June 2 – Healthy Eating Day

In 2011, in response to the American holiday "Gluttony Day", the "Day of Healthy Eating and Abstinence from excess food" was born.

June 2, 2011 became the birthday of the holiday, the main purpose of which is to draw the attention of the general public to the food culture.

We would like to remind you of a few healthy eating rules that many of you probably know, but not all adhere to.

It is not necessary to eat with someone "for company" or "for the future", just because lunch or dinner "came up", or if you just saw the food.

• If it seems to you that you are really hungry, then do not start eating until you calm down, or try to distract yourself – for example, take a cool shower. Perhaps after that, the appetite will disappear – so the hunger was false.
• It often happens that we mistake the body's need for fluids for hunger. If you have a "wolfish" appetite, drink a glass of warmed mineral water with lemon, or herbal tea, and in any case drink a glass of water 20-30 minutes before meals – this will improve digestion and metabolism.
• When you eat, do not try to swallow food faster: learn to chew each piece 32 times, and only then swallow – you will not be able to eat more than you should.
• Do not invent prohibitions for yourself, and do not say that you cannot eat this or that dish: prohibitions only increase cravings for harmful things and provoke "breakdowns". You can eat anything, but within reason.

On this day, AMAKS Congress Hotel decided to pamper its guests with proper, healthy, but no less delicious dishes.
