This week, within the framework of the "Year of National Culture" project, the baton passed to the Ryazan region, where the next object of our network is located - AMAKS Congress Hotel.
Ryazan is not only a city with an ancient history (this year it will be 928 years old), but also a regional center that keeps up with the times. New museums are constantly opening in the city, quests are held to find famous mushrooms with eyes, and transformer booths become a canvas for paintings.
The first association with the word "Ryazan", of course, is mushrooms with eyes. They can be found in the most unexpected corners of the city: a fervent mushroom peddler on Lenin Square near Shopping malls, a peasant borovichka on Pochtovaya Street, a couple in love on Theater Square near the fountain, a wise mushroom near the Yesenin Library, a mushroom team riding a skateboard on Lybedsky Boulevard. And the main mushroom lives in the Lower City Garden.
Russian Russian poet Sergei Yesenin will be remembered by everyone from the famous residents of Ryazan, but this is not all, the Ryazan Region is the birthplace of many outstanding figures: Ivan Petrovich Pavlov (Russian scientist-physiologist, academician, Russia's first Nobel Prize winner in physiology and medicine), Konstantin Eduardovich Tsiolkovsky (an outstanding Russian scientist and inventor, founder of the Russian cosmonautics), Mikhail Dmitrievich Skobelev (commander, military commander, liberator of Bulgaria from the Turkish yoke), Pyotr Petrovich Semenov-Tyan-Shansky (Russian geographer, traveler, statistician, public figure), the Pirogov brothers (famous opera singers), Nikolai Fedorovich Makarov (creator of the world-famous PM pistol, aviation gun AM-23 and other types of weapons).
And another interesting fact: the founder of the world-famous cosmetics brand Max Factor - Maximilian Abramovich Faktorovich - opened his first salon in a shop in the center of Ryazan! Now the historical salon "Fragrance of Time" is located on this place.
We invite everyone to take a walk around this amazing city, but to gain strength after a busy day of sightseeing, you certainly know where – in a modern hotel in the very center of Ryazan – in the AMAKS Congress Hotel.
