Valdai is a small town (its area is only 61 km2, and the population is about 14,000 people) on the territory of the Novgorod region. It is located on a hill of the same name on the shore of Lake Valdai and is surrounded by coniferous forests.

The city is called the cradle of Russian rivers, since it is here that the path of the mighty Volga begins from a small key, and the Dnieper, Msta, Western Dvina, and tributaries of the Neva originate from small swamps. In the Valdai area there are thousands of streams, springs, including with healing water, hundreds of swamps.

Such natural resources make the city a popular center of tourism not only in the region, but throughout the country.
Visiting Valdai, you must certainly touch the nature of this unique region. The AMAKS Hotel "Valdaiskie Zori" organizes scenic walks on Lake Valdai on SUP-boards or kayaks. And after a busy day, you can comfortably relax in cozy rooms.
