Category #nashgorod - Square named after A.A. Gromyko

A.A. Gromyko Square is a special place for Gomel residents and guests of the city, in the depths of which there are real arches, replicas of world attractions and an amazing fountain spouting directly from the ground…
At the beginning of the twentieth century, an ordinary city garden was located here, in which mainly children and families rested. Warm summer evenings were spent here, factory workers, artisans, railway workers and many others aspired here. In 1989, a bust of A.A. Gromyko was installed in the square in its place.
Leaning Tower of Pisa, Colosseum and Kremlin in Gomel
Of course, no one transported the world's architectural masterpieces to the Polessky city. We are talking about models in Gomel – copies of world-famous attractions. Take a picture against the background of the Chinese wall without visiting the Celestial Empire? Easy! Take a selfie next to the famous parus hotel, which the United Arab Emirates is famous for? There is nothing easier!
In addition to the models, stationary arches hung with garlands are installed in the square. When they are lit, the square is magically transformed. The silver-gold radiance immerses everything around in a fabulous atmosphere, and the photos are simply magical!
And there is also a "dry" fountain. This is without exaggeration one of the favorite places of children in the city!
An interesting fact: fountains of this type are also called "dry", because having managed, you can walk under the jets without getting wet. And the fountain can also be called the friendliest, because the names of the twin cities of Gomel are inscribed on the plates that surround it along the outer edge.
