Ryazan VDNKH or a Shopping town

Are you planning a weekend trip with the whole family and don't know where to go?
In addition to the classic routes such as the Kremlin and the Ryazan Arbat (Pochtovaya Street), we definitely recommend that you visit the recently reconstructed Ryazan VDNH.

Ryazan VDNH was opened in 1955. A tremendous amount of work: the construction of buildings, fountains, and the arrangement of the square was completed in record time — in two months! However, by 1959, the need for an exhibition had disappeared, shops were opened in the pavilions, and the territory itself was named a Shopping town. Over time, it also declined, turning into a clothing market.

The new history of the Ryazan VDNH began in our years. After a large-scale reconstruction, the pavilions received a rebirth, the paths were paved anew, fountains were clogged again, flower beds bloomed. Today, museums and exhibition spaces are open here, and festivals and concerts are held on weekends and holidays during the warmer months. Ryazan VDNKh has been recognized as one of the most recognizable architectural objects in Russia.
