July 11 — World Chocolate Day!
The history of chocolate and the holiday itself.
The holiday was invented in France, in 1995. Initially, it was conceived as a national, intrastate. However, sweet lovers liked the idea, and the celebration began to be celebrated all over the world.Mexico is considered the birthplace of chocolate. Even the ancient Maya tribes ground cocoa fruits, mixed with wine and added spicy herbs. The result was a drink called xocolatl. Later, the Spaniards invaded the land of the Indians, who took with them not only treasures, but also a recipe for a delicious drink. In Europe, the delicacy became so popular that it was nicknamed "Theobroma cacao". Which translates to "Food of the gods".
In honor of this sweet holiday, we set a small festive table for the guests, which lifted everyone's spirits throughout the breakfast.
