On July 15, the XV Interregional folklore and ethnographic festival "Land of Ancestors" was held in the Kilemarsky district near the Arda River. This time it gathered about five thousand guests from Mari El, Tatarstan, Chuvashia, Kirov and Nizhny Novgorod regions. In total, about 400 people participated in various venues of the festival this year. These are more than 70 craftsmen who presented to the guests wicker baskets, wooden products, jewelry, things and shoes made of wool, bast shoes, belts and shoulder pads for national costumes, dolls, toys and much more. Everyone, together with the master, could make a souvenir with their own hands.
